Ever since I was a small child without realising it, I loved Homeware & Furnishings.
From the fish tank I had that was in a gumball machine, to the old coil oil heater I asked my parents to buy for my room, which I promptly asked them to repaint bright red! I wanted a bonsai tree, a palm tree and cactus.
As I got older it continued with an old red phone booth in my bedroom, having to paint the walls of my room ‘road sign’ orange until I moved out on my own & bought a chair made from old fence posts, an old red Coca Cola fridge and a bespoke coffee table made from chrome bumper bars.
It all sounds a bit eclectic but I was just having fun and that is exactly what your home should be. It should make you happy. As I have aged I have calmed down ( just a little! ) and for the moment my favourite colours are white and black.
I also grew up with a dad that could build, do a bit of plumbing, a bit of electrical work, paint, make things and all of this has helped shape me into what I do and love. Luckily I also inherited some of dad’s skills.
I am passionate about architecture, design, renovating and Homeware & Furnishings. Therefore it makes sense that I spend my days renovating houses and making some of my own Homewares. I take great delight in making old houses beautiful again. Turning them into palaces! I always style and dress my houses to sell and as a result this has led to my own Homeware & Furnishings shop.
We will be stocked with my favourite Homeware & Furnishings from both NZ and around the world. I hand pick everything that goes into the shop. Some items are fun, some practical, some crazy, some luxurious, there will be all sorts because after all there are no rules, we all have our own individual sense of style and we are always evolving. Turn your home into your own palace, I’m just here to help.
PMH Homeware & Furnishings is ‘a beautiful shop made just for you’ by me.
