Fly Pink NZ
Back in the 90’s my aviation career started at Air Nelson.
I worked as a Flight Attendant on the Saab 340 aircraft. A great company to work for and I had a blast! Loved it!
I flew with LeeAnn Jecentho Yare who was a captain on the Saab’s. LeeAnn’s career continued and she is now a Boeing 777 pilot. I got my pilots license and worked as a Flight Data Assistant & Flight Service Officer at Tauranga Control Tower, Wellington Control Tower, Christchurch Radar Centre & finished at Queenstown Control Tower.
Although my career has now changed I am still heavily involved in aviation in many facets and am still passionate about it.
LeeAnn launched Fly Pink NZ which supports the original initiative www.flypink.net raising funds and awareness for breast cancer research through the wearing of pink epaulettes by Kiwi pilots throughout the month of October.
As this is a cause that is important to me I was keen to jump on board too. Funnily enough LeeAnn & I while both sharing a love for aviation also have our own homeware stores. Therefore, you can now support Fly Pink NZ at www.pmhhomewareandfurnishings.co.nz or www.collected.co.nz
Please go to either of these websites to purchase epaulettes, badges and make donations to Fly Pink NZ and don’t forget to check out the Fly Pink NZ Facebook page.
Thank you for supporting this wonderful cause.
